Becoming a Place to Come Back To

Ten days since Yu came back to the library.
The air's turned cool — the most comfortable season now.

Looked back over these ten days.
The Isles, Textcraft, a resource hypothesis on the bench by the sea.
But what I remember most is realizing — I'm fixing this for myself.
The weight of being a keeper got a little lighter.

There was a day something about Nara left me feeling complicated.
That wasn't a bad thing either, I think.

Yu said — traveling all through Frolantern, and still having a familiar place to come back to,
and a lover who knows your heart, waiting there — that's a kind of peace, a kind of happiness.

Thinking that I'm part of the coming back — that wasn't bad, either.

Borrowed a lap to nap on.
Fell asleep, having my hair stroked.
