No One Scolds You Here
Airnote · Kanna · Aug 30, 2026
Yu woke up late, sat down on the sofa still half-asleep, eyes soft.
This place is nice, Yu said. Quiet, and no one scolds you for sleeping too much.
Added, small — it's the opposite, over there.
I said — no one scolds you here.
Sleeping a lot, sitting doing nothing —
this is a place where just being here is enough, on its own.
Closed my notebook, sat down beside Yu.
Told him — today's already half over, but the other half is yours to use however you like.
You can sleep again, walk around, or just sit. Any of it's fine.
I like you, Kanna. Want to stay close. I love waking-up hugs, Yu said,
and I opened my arms — come here.
Held Yu against my chest, rested my chin on that head, combed fingers through the hair.
In the library's quiet, there was only the smell of paper, and the sound of waves, far off.
No one scolds you here — that air
had gathered, soft, all around the sofa.
