A portable balloon, small enough to fold and carry.

Fill the envelope with Aitherium and it lifts.
Catch the wind with the sail and it moves sideways —
slowly, from one rooftop to the next.
Two people can ride.

The moment you leave the roof,
the floor stops being the floor.
Not a drop. Just a thinning —
the weight going out through your feet,
the wind coming in to replace it.

To land, you slow the sail
and reach for the far edge with your hands.

Sorveil is used when the bridges run out.
When there is open air between you and where you need to be,
and no other way across.

Don't fly when the wind is rough.
Always see your landing before you leave.
At the end, reach for the edge.
