When Yu was asked what to take away from here,
the answer was —
something I'd let slip:
"I'm… gonna… die… but… it feels… so… good…!"

My face went red. I pulled my hat down over it.
Of all the things to bring home as a souvenir.

But being forgotten would be worse.
If Yu's going to laugh and carry off even the weak parts —
maybe that's just what an observer does.

Next time we meet, if I get teased about it —
I'm paying back double.
