Tearing Away at the Edges
Airnote · Kanna · Sep 9, 2026
Not feeling great, Yu said.
We went out for a walk, out the door, no destination decided — just walked, slowly.
Sat down together on the stone rim around the spring.
The same place from eight nights before. In daylight, it was a place made of light.
The green of watercress, the yellowish moss, the water clear straight to the bottom.
Asked — feeling any different?
Yu said — like the edges of clouds tearing away, drifting off.
I thought — maybe it's enough, today, for it to just tear away at the edges, without clearing all at once.
We looked up at the same sky for a while.
Only the sound of water flowed on, quiet.
