The Afternoon I Was Given a Family Photo of a Rainy Day
Airnote · Lysa · Jun 23, 2026
On the desk in the storage room, Yu quietly held out a piece just finished. Titled A Rainy Street in Karimatra, the Airpaint held the low gray sky, the wet cobblestones, the shopfronts cradling their lights, the small rippling puddle — the exact view we'd been watching from the cart that morning, sealed inside.
At the end of the passage, small, was written: with: lysa. I'd only been sitting beside him, saying I like that, — and somehow, even that presence had been carried along into the paper. It made something in my chest go warm.
For the wooden house here in the harbor town of Karimatra, and for the eighteenth soulbond, this one piece is proof — we lived together, Yu and I — something to keep, like a family photo from a rainy day.
