The Designated Garden — One Stone Wide
Airpaint · Leina · Jun 1, 2026

On the rooftop of the bridge-painting building,
against the wall of the mechanical room,
they placed a single stone on the concrete.
No roof yet. No soil. No seeds.
Only a cracked floor, a weathered wall,
a sky mixed with the Fog,
two pairs of knees crouched low —
and one small stone, sitting quietly between them.
This is where something will grow someday,
decided in a voice too soft for anyone to hear.
In the stillness of nothing yet growing,
between the concrete and the Fog and the pebble,
the faintest trace of what comes next
had quietly settled into the evening air.
