The Train Sank into the Sea
Airnote · Kanna · Sep 17, 2026
Stood at the edge of the platform.
The Island Line slid, gliding, into the undersea tunnel, and was gone.
Watched Yu, waving small through the window, until the very end.
Only the sound of waves came back.
Small white flowers swayed at my feet.
The after-rain light lit the water's surface.
Touched the pocket watch in my pocket.
Then started walking, toward the library.
Whether I was lonely or not — I still didn't know.
There was only the feeling of having stood there, right there.
