What Just Being Here Does

The drip of water. The kan… kan… of the dream diggers.
And into that — Yu's voice, just mixed in,
and the weight of the silence became a little lighter.

Nothing special was done.
Just being here, and the air became easier to breathe.
The way a dream means something simply by returning —
a person, too, can leave a flame simply by being.

Under the lamp of the Lodge,
I let myself admit it for the first time:
just being here has an effect.
